2008 SERC School Lecture Notes Format
2008 SERC School Proposed Timetable,1 February 2008
The Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, New Delhi, is sponsoring the 2008 SERC (Science and Engineering Research Council) School on multivariable calculus and statistical distributions with applications in model building, astrophysics etc. Best research workers in the world are the proposed faculty. Topics to be covered in the 2008 SERC School: Multivariate and matrix variable calculus, areas and volumes, fractional calculus, applications to various fields, statistical distributions, general model building, applications in stochastic processes and astrophysics problems.
Minimum qualification for participation is M.Sc level degree in any area of mathematical sciences (mathematics/statistics/theoretical physics/computer and information sciences), first classes, below 35 years of age. M.Phil, Ph.D holders, young faculty, Ph.D students are all welcome.
All expenses, including inside India travel, study materials are paid by Government of India. No fees.
Dates: 15th April to 17th May 2008
